Capabilities
Forging
Coulter Forge has the capabilities of producing open die and rolled ring forgings, in various materials, sizes and configurations. Using our arch hammers, hydraulic presses and ring rolling equipment we stand ready to meet your material and delivery demands. Expanding on the experience of our team we are able to add simple contoured shapes to some of our forgings, helping to save our customers both material and machining costs.
Heat Treating
All of our parts are capable of being heat treated in accordance with your material specifications. We offer in house heat treating for various alloys and materials.
Types of Heat Treating for Stainless, PH Stainless, Nickel, and Alloy Steel Processes include:
- Annealing and Solution Annealed
- Normalizing
- Hardening and Tempering
- Aging
Examples of Aluminum Conditions Include:
- 2014-T6, T61, T652 (Cold work by compression)
- 2618-T4, T6, T41, T61
- 6061-T6, T652
- 7075-T6, T73, T7352
Machining
Our talented machinists give us the capability of machining your forgings, whether it's for non-destructive testing, or machining your parts closer to your finish dimensions to assist with your finishing processes, we have the capability to provide you with the dimensions and finishes you need.

Bars: 1-1/4" Dia. up to 12' Long
